Got his new tank running(hopefully his final home), he is in it and pouting, how dare I chase him into a bucket and move him to a different tank. Decoration is still lacking atm, filtration will change once I get my gasket that I ordered for his canister. Currently just 2x penguin 350 and 1x emporer 400(established came with him from tank he was in). Substrate is the newer estees colorquartz, somewhere between the old 3m sizes of t and s.

Thats a popular driftwood on the right side of the pic. I'm thinking about getting one of those as well.
Kind regards,

ya, he likes that piece, he hides behind it sometimes, under it a lot, and sleeps on top of it. He is still pouting like a little kid though whenever I come near. I figure by later today or tomorrow he'll be done pouting. I can't wait for the plants to grow in so it doesn't look so bare.

Just a random update since I haven't been around in a while. I knew he would grow fast yet it is kind of amazing from what he looked like in december to what he looks like now. the fahaka is over the 9" point now still enjoying life in his 180, pics were taken early last month, plants have grown a bunch since then.

9-11-12 Yes there are a few convicts in with him, hasn't eaten them yet and I won't care when he does.
Image
Tank still makes him look small, poking his head out from behind the fake wood on right.

he actually attempted to bury himself, lol first time since I got him at 2" last december, now pushing the 10" mark.

I walked into the fish room and he was just laying there like a rock, kinda half behind some plants, as I got closer, no greeting like normal just his eyes following me, then I noticed the gravel on his head and back. LOL you can't see me....

I have got the same piece from petsmart, so they still sell it as well as similar pieces with the brownish\tanish color and pieces that have a grey color

Here is the piece

But, please avoid the piece listed below this paragraph, it is a poop collector. I have this piece is my Texas tank and every tank cleaning I really have to make sure nothing is under it. Doesn't matter where it is in the tank. Sometimes I have to take the whole piece out.

WOW! What a Handsome boy!! I'm so jealous.

Nice to see another Puffer Lover in this "Godforsaken Frozen Tundra"!! If it weren't for feeding and taking care of my Puffs, I would be so outta here!
