Order from Ebay. Adding DEAD bacteria does nothing.

ordered tetra safestart....meanwhile i'm using cycle and keeping a close eye on water params. Now that i've added the fish, should i remove the piece of shrimp i threw in the tank as a source of ammonia?

I hope you did a LARGE WC after removing the shrimp?
IDK why you couldn't wait until you had a thoroughly cycled tank before adding this fish? Basically, you have added him to a non-cycled tank & you have added dead bacteria (more waste to add ammonia).

That's a start but there isn't enough bacteria in there to support a GSP. Do you have test kits for ammonia/nitrite/nitrate? Use it often.

He's 1.5" in a 33 gallon. The bioload in this tank is nothing. I test the tank 2 times a day.

Well, ammo and nitrite are both at 0. they never reached over .25
Seems like Colony helped cycle the tank a lol quicker than normal.
