I just got a GSP

Post by Boku88 »

I just got a GSP...well I mean about 3 Weeks ago but it is the newest puffer and I am housing it with my F8s and I just want to ask at what age or size roughly should I shift it to full marine ( a tank on its own)? It is currently living in a low brackish environment temporarily but I know that as it gets older it should live in a higher salinity environment. The GSP I would say is pretty young (not even 4 cm yet).
The next time you visit a LFS exert caution when you approach the pufferfish tank, those puffballs will skilfully convince you to take them home with you.

GSP are generally more boisterous than F8s. I would move him to his own tank asap
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

They are very cool fish, but yeah quite aggressive compared to F8s... my 2nd puff (f8) that I got a few weeks back had quite a few bite marks and fin nips that are currently healing. LFS told me they were all like that (about 6 of them) and it was all from the single GSP in the tank.
