Pics do not really do justice to the size and scale, but this guy is 5 inches.

Likes to wedge himself into rock formations to sleep.

I need to make another video.

Wow! Their gurth really develops as they grow!
How long did they take to reach those sizes?
@PP is the one on the right inflated or just full?
@sgtmyers88 Amazing colour on them! they look just as bright as my little 2-3" fella

Also, do they tend to chill out as they grow up?
I feel so bad for my guy when he paces the tank. :/

A good variety in their diet is key. I fed them snails, ghost shrimp, crawdads, mussels, clams, crab legs, squid, earthworms, nightcrawlers, peas. Mine are almost 3 years old and were just a bit smaller than my thumb when I got them. The asian supermarkets and sporting goods stores are a goldmine for food items.

Thanks so much for all the help :)
my GSP was a trade in when i got him so I hope he is just young and not stunted growth. Wouldn't matter too much anyway I suppose. He seems bright and healthy.

Biggest one is pushing past 6. They are approx 4 years old. They are eating a thawed crab body in the pic. And they made a mess. I feed the same as pp.
