Early days with GSP. Any tips?

Post by BedScien »

Had my GSP, Oddball, for about a week now, I think he's an adult but I really don't know what age.

He loves live snails and digging in the sand for them. He tends to do exceited laps of the tank after he's had a few. I'm having trouble not overfeeding him a lot of the time he paes the tank and I feel bad for him. :/ I'll just feed him once every two days from now on I guess so I'm not tempted to put more in whenever i give him a snack. I'm currently raising the salinity to full SW.

He has a black shadow around his belly. Any advice?

A week is very little time for puffers to get over stress. They can throw strops that last weeks if you move them/ move anything in their tank. Give him time to settle and realise you are there to serve him.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Never trust big puffers. The fingers you save may be your own. -RTR
