Anyone for puff caviar? :P
Guess I was right about the breeding pair! They were laid either today or yesterday... Anyone have any idea of how long until they hatch? Will try to get better pics later when the puffs are busy eating lol

Should I take the eggs out when I see them?

Do some research on how to raise eggs without the parents but I'd be more interested in how they do it & then remove the fry. The difficult part is finding foods small enough for them.

I've always wondered if it's possible to feed baby fish fry on the minute food you put in a reef tank to feed corals

Re: Anyone for puff caviar? :P
Most marine fish larvae feed on plankton, which they are part of. Only a few plankton species can be hobby-cultured, and feeding them generally requires culturing planktonic algae to feed those. It is possible, but massively laborious. All of those cultures must be kept pure and uncontaminated. If you are a biology techie, it can be done, but is laborious and $$$. I played with that some years back and don't know how much is still available to the public. I got my materials and cultures through a lab.
