Hairy puffer squeaking?!

Post by anna* »

My hairy puffer (Dr Von Winklestein - Winkie for short!) has twice now made a strange squeaking noise while extending his mouth, both times when excited to see me in the morning. Has anyone else seen/heard this from their puffers?

is that what you mean?

Totally cool.

Please do try to get us a brief video snip of your finned friend doing the squeak.

I'm chuckling just thinking about squeaking puffers and all of the really bad jokes
and puns that will no doubt emerge.

It does sound a bit like nails on a blackboard! I'll try and get a video but he doesn't do it very often so could be tricky. :D

Update - I still haven't managed to video him squeaking, but he's now started squirting water at me if I don't feed him quickly enough after opening the tank hood!

I loved the water squirting for ages, then it gets your eye/mouth/ extension lead lol
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Ha, I have caught my hairy puffer also doing this several times! I'm guessing I'll never be able to get it on video....
