Puffer turned white

Post by Tootie »

I am not sure why but a few months ago one of my pea puffers lost all color. After researching I was worried at the time that he was sick or had a disease, but as he was acting completely normal otherwise I decided to just monitor it. He is still acting completely normal. I don't know if it's because his color is white, but his eyes look darker and larger than the other puffers. I was just curious if anyone else has experienced anything like this? I will try to post a picture with this.

Yes, a pic would be helpful. Do you soak his foods in amy vitamins?

No, I do not soak their food. They get fresh black worms and occasional snails from another tank. I think i figured out how to post a link to a picture. I tried uploading pic through attachment but it evidently didn't work.

How bizarre! Looks like an albino. If he is well that could just be the case, albino dp
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

But are albinos born with color and then lose it? They all looked the same when we bought them

Wow, that is weird! Albinos also have red eyes. Try soaking their food in vitamins & see if that helps.
