how long does it take for a dp to grow to adult size? I just bought one that's 1cm and was wondering how long it would take.

Surprisingly quick. They reach around full size in around 6 mths, but never stop growing entirely. Growth slows down once maturity has been hit but never stops entirely
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

My last DPs were unbelievably tiny when I got them, less than the size of a fingernail in total length (including tail). They weren't full size until about 9 months later. I think it depends a bit on the size when you first get them. Smaller fish are younger and take a bit longer.
