Possible New Tetraodon Miurus
Possible New Tetraodon Miurus
Hi you all,
My name is Aitor, from the Basque Country (Spain). I am keeping aquariums for the last 20 years. Now I have a 720 liters with Tropheus and Altolamprologus (Tanganyika), a 60 liters and a 100 liters with fry. I am thinking about buying a Tetraodon Miurus for and specific tank. First I would keep it in the 60 liters tank, with 1mm sand, 7,5Ph
Is the congo puffer strong? Special cares?
I am in love with this little diavel !!!!!!
Could you show me some photograhs of the ones kept by you?
Thans in advance

You will want deep sand. The congo likes to burrow.

Re: Possible New Tetraodon Miurus
Hi, I have one question.....
I would like to keep a Tetraodon Fluviatilis and a Tetraodon Miurus at the same tank. Do you think is possible?
Ir order to have the fluviatilis save of fungus I have readden that a teaspoon of salt/60 liters should be added to the tank.
What about the Miurus? This amount of salt would be OK for it?
Thanks in advance

Re: Possible New Tetraodon Miurus
Miurus will KILL anything that moves (except a snail). STRICTLY a FW fish.
Fluviatilis will require SW conditions as an adult (see care for GSP in our Library & their profile in our Pufferpedia, under the Learn tab, above).

Re: Possible New Tetraodon Miurus
Sorry, another question: what about having a pair of Congo puffers in the same Aquarium? Intraspecific aggressions?

Heheheh, puffer mathematics.
1 + x = 0
UNLESS x = 0
Then, 1 + 0 = 1
1 = 1.
1 + x = 0
UNLESS x = 0
Then, 1 + 0 = 1
1 = 1.
