Absolutely NOT a FW puffer , it's a marine puffer! Why in the world is it in FW???

It is the correct ID. I'd be pale too, if I was in the wrong kind of water!

Poor thing, please get this fish rehoused into proper conditions before it dies
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

It's true that Arothron hispidus is regularly caught in brackish to freshwater estuaries. But they don't stay there for long, these are just trips for food. Needs to be kept in a marine aquarium.
Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. Give a fish a man, and he'll eat for weeks.

Just saw the video... that's not even a A. hispidus. It's a A. reticularis. But what I said about A. hispidus above is also true for A. reticularis, e.g. in Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

I agree Reticularis, not seen that color form (i.e. that dark but could be the video) the Retulicaris all seem to come here locally mis-identified.
