I also bought some those frozen half shell clams to try with Lila so I'll do that tomorrow and see if the dps like it and let you know!

I've noticed my DP wont go for any food that isn't worm shaped; doesnt matter if it's dead or alive... Just must be worm shaped.. He's a picky little SOB XD. Luckily the lfs gets live blackworms weekly ^_^.

Hey gsp, my dp prefers live blood worm than frozen. He likes to watch them wriggle around.G S P Freak wrote:I've noticed my DP wont go for any food that isn't worm shaped; doesnt matter if it's dead or alive... Just must be worm shaped.. My DPs have not been quite as picky as Pufferpunk's, but they all prefer live blackworms via the perforated cone feeders, with a small reptile water dish on the substrate below the feeder cone to catch any that fall to the substrate. That at leas reduces the number than hide in the substrate.
I also keep a few smallish ramshorn snails in the tank. The fish do get them occasionally but not daily.
DPs seem to have no dental plate problems, despite the soft diet. They are likely the only puffer with no dental plate issues at all.
