new baby fahaka.

I just got my fahaka puffer in. I was expecting a 2-3 incher, and he's less that an inch. He's in a fully cycled 120 gal. I'm not new to puffers, but I never had one this tiny. Needless to say I was prepared to feed a slightly larger fahaka. What should this little guy be eating? And how often?

Thanks

Small pond snails, frozen bloodworms/brine shrimp and live blackworms come to mind. I am not that familiar with Fahaka puffers though.

Most of those foods listed are bigger than the puffer. I do have some blood worms. How often should a fahaka under an inch be fed?

under an inch is what my dwarf puffers were, and I fed them the above.
I think you feed juvenile puffers 6 times a week.

Yes 6x weekly for now is fine. The foods suggested are also good options, not too much brine shrimp tho mysis is better

well i seem to have lost my fahaka. hes in a six foot tank filled with gravel the same size and color as he is. i removed all the rocks and decor carefully and still cant find him. he likes to sit on the bottom still and blend into the rocks. like i said before.....i was expecting a larger puffer. the site i ordered him from said they ship at 2-3 inches.

Actually, after pulling my whole tank apart and still not finding him. I decided to check the canister filter. And even though I had a screen on it he managed to get in there. My only guess is he was chasing some food or something. He would of had to work at getting in there. But he's ok. I now have him in one of those little floating quarantine deals. The filter opening now has foam on the end. But ill probably keep in in the floating thing for a few days to make sure he's eating.

Yeah, he was in there for the better part of a day. He seems to be just fine now. In a year it will be funny to think he could have ever fit in the filter tube.
