Hi guys, is Ricky. Got my figure 8 on Dec 2013 and I was here for a short while. Panchito is doing very well, big and fat. He has had 7 Zebra Loach as tank mates for 2 years now and he don't mind them and the Loach don't mess with him either. All is well in the 55g home.
Anyways, is good to be back and hoping to hello to old acquaintances and meet new members as well.

Welcome back!
Unfortunately, your puffer won't live to a ripe old age in FW.

You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Yeah, figure 8s should have brackish water. Congrats on having him for 2 years! I think the longest I've had a puffer live is maybe a year.

Pufferpunk, I didn't see the sentence below the fish, hahaha. So I was saying thank you to your "welcome".
About the brackish water, I go back and forth between brackish and fresh. I do this because of the Zebra Loaches.

Re: Re-introduction
Loaches prefer soft water, the exact opposite of BW. Sounds like you need more than one tank, to house your fish properly.

Re: Re-introduction
Sounds good. I will get a 20g long just for Panchito and make it brackish.
