New Puffer Addict seeking Like-minded Addicts!
Hello Everyone,
I have been a long-time lurker here, gleaning a lot of useful information for the care of my wee Puffers. I figure now is as good a time as any to join as a member.
I am a very proud keeper of 2 Pea Puffs and a little Amano shrimp in my 10 gallon tank. It has a HOB filter, gravel substrate, live and fake plants, and decorated with rocks, terra cotta pots and driftwood.
Here are the stars of my tank:
(puff)Diddy, who has been with me over a month. I think it will be a male. He is confident and curious, patrolling the tank like a boss. I love him, and he loves snails.
(pea)Tuna joined us few weeks ago. She is a happy hungry little grape. That needs to change because I realized I have been overfeeding them. She is definitely older than Diddy, because she showed female markings.
And my humble Davey Jones, the hardworking Amano shrimp, who arrived a few days after Diddy.
A little shout-out to my beloved (pea)Pod, who was Diddy's first tankmate. I knew nothing about IPs when I first got them, and treatment came a little too late for Pod. Diddy started putting on weight after treatment, but Pod just couldn't regain his strength. He fought hard, and bounced back twice. I thought he was starting to make a full recovery in the QT after a day, but I was wrong. I hate to play favourites, but he was one special Puffer.
I have this forum to thank for the information on how to treat IPs, because I was able to save Diddy and learned to be proactive in treating Tuna in case she had IPs, even though she showed no physical signs.
Yeah... I unsuspectingly stumbled into this hobby, with the help of a good friend who is an avid aquatic hobbyist. It is frighteningly addicting. I didn't know I could love fish as much as I love my puffers.
Hope to meet new friends and fellow Puffer keepers.

Hi itlagswrx,
Hope to get frequent updates on your GSPs here, and maybe the occasional picture of your marine tanks.

Some say since Clarkson got fired, (s)he's moved on to fish-keeping, and that (s)he transformed h(er) DB9 into a display tank for Puffers. All we know is, (s)he's called The Stig.
But, I will try to get some pics of my tank up once I know how to deal with this silly glare / reflection that shows up. It is annoying!

Didnt think clarkson would be as popular the other side of the pond?!
Puffers are definitely more attachable than any other fish ! I think thats why most people dont plan to keep them and just get chosen by them!
