Hello

Post by FishAdict »

Hello I'm new here. My user name is FishAdict as my canreef user name Fishoholic was too long to use here lol. I started with FW 10yrs ago and quickly got into SW. However in the last two years I lost interest in SW so I've been slowly shutting all my SW tanks down. Had close to 1000g SW tanks in my basement; two 230g tanks + 80g on a 90g sump and a 260g on a 120g sump, a 34g upstairs and a 5g desktop tank.

I really miss my camel boxfish and his personality however I have no desire to care for large tanks right now. So I've been thinking about setting up the 5g as a planted pea puffer tank. I posted a bunch of questions about this set up in the freshwater puffer section. Looking forward to getting to know people here and to getting help :D

Easier in the sense that a 10g is bigger so it should be more stable then a 5g? The irony of that is that for 95% of the population that would be true, whereas I seem to be the exception to that rule lol. Coming from a SW background I've preached that bigger is more stable etc. however my irony is that my 2.5g and my 5g were my nicest looking SW tanks and my 230g tank was a mess! lol go figure.

However if you're meaning that a 10g would be better because it'll provide more swimming room for a pea puffer and that one would be happier in a 10g then that's different.

In a 10g, you could have more than one ;) and more room for plants
