Hello from Germany

Post by Psymon »

Hello Puffer Forum Members - The name is Psymon.

I came across this website, and specifically the imho famous article posted by Pufferpunk herself library/puffers-in-focus/an-introductio ... d-puffers/. My journey started much like hers except that I knew SOME things about Puffers and didn't get one completely blinded by their cuteness.

Hugo - my GSP aprox +1 year old now and I've had him for about the same length of time. He is about 3.5in in length. He lives in a 30 Gal FW Planted Aquarium together with 1x Otocinclus, and you wont believe this 3x Ghost Shrimp. Yes. you read that correctly(video proof below)
I think the 30Gal is too small for him/her - recently moved house so I'm hoping funds will allow me to expand his home soon.

I decided to join this forum after I realised that there is a wealth of information on here. I myself have discovered and learnt much about fish and their world, and hope to encourage others to learn more about puffers, and taking care of them properly/better. I enjoy making videos and uploading to youtube so maybe some more hands on knowledge.

I am at the point now that I MUST change my FW tank to BW and finally to full SW. Instant Ocean has been ordered, and a Refractometer. So I will be changing the current FW tank to SW over the next few months. The world of SW is new to me. Looking forward to new challenges.

I thought it would be appropriate to start this greet off with 2 short videos I made of Hugos environment and his general temperament.

I desperately need to sort his dental state out. I have started a Ramshorn Tank but I fear I will have to do the dental work myself, as the snails are growing slower then I expected.
