Got a good deal on a sump

Post by bertie 83 »

Picked up a sump with tunze overflow box, eheim submersible pump, a monster sized skimmer, a rio submersible pump and a few other bits and pieces for £120. All is in good working order. Got it up and running and here's my plan:- first compartment live rock and inlet, under glass then skimmer pump on left of 2nd compartment and skimmer return on the right, then over glass, under glass return to tank. Poss a little more live rock in return chamber. Does that sound sensible or rediculous? Am I missing anything? Any other tips? Thanks all
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

I'm a sump newbie too, anyone else have any input or ideas? Does my plan seem feasible? This skimmer is pulling tons of crap compared to the hob skimmer, it's what I have been told is a power skimmer. Not saying my tank is a tip just a much more effective skimmer, although it is circulating masses of water lol
