Vitamins

Post by Welch4 »

I have read on the puff library that food should be soaked in vitamins. What do you use for vitamins?

Secondary.
Is this only for freeze dried, rinsed freezed, and/or live foods?

So the product description clears up my second question. As far as puffers go is there any benefit to dosing the tank? And I notice there there are fresh and marine variations. Would I be better of using marine for my gsp since he will eventually be in full marine?

I really think it's a waste of vitamins--certainly for FW fish,who don't drink water.

Has anyone dosed a container of live blackworms with vitamins. I noticed when I dose what im feeding the puffs that they squirm violently around in the cup. Would dosing the holding container end up killing the worms? A portion of these guys lasts me several weeks. If no one has tried this I can pick up another portion and test with what I have left.

I not only dose my live worms with vitamins, I also feed them crushed plankton. Doesn't kill them.

Do freshwater puffers not absorb vitamins through their skin? I thought they were very sensitive.

A quick search seems to only be turning up liquid plankton. PP what do you use.

At the bottom of every FD plankton container I find plankton dust.
Any of these are good: http://www.jehmco.com/html/freeze_dried.html
