I recently got my first puffer and wow. I'm used to stringy poos from other fish but with my F8, it's like hamster poop.
And then I found this:

Anyone want to talk about puffer poop?** I find this fascinating.
**Note - Why yes, I am aware I have the maturity of an eight year old.

You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Re: Puffer Poop
Good to know I'm among friends.
I'm curious about how big puffer poo can be.. Like does a mbu puffer has poo the size of a dog poo?
Why is there such a difference in puffer poop and most tropical fish poop?

Re: Puffer Poop
My ex 23in Mbu can pop out things as large as 1 1/2in long.. Looks something like a insect wrapped by a spider Web. U get the idea.. Their internals and anus are quite flexible. Probably due to their diet. They swallow shells, crabs etc..

Re: Puffer Poop
PufferPunk, what are your experiences and knowledge of puffer poop? I really want to pick your brains about this. Heh.
Today I noticed that Sammy poops on her favorite side of the tank, the side next to my bed. (Best location for begging I assume?) I think her poops are bigger than a hamsters actually. She's only about two inches long too!
I read somewhere that using a pipet to remove poos between water changes worked? Does anyone else have any luck with this?

I'm a notorious poo-sucker. I suck up their poo with a turkey baster several times a day lol. My puffers know my ritual, and are very understanding of it lol.

Re: Puffer Poop
I find it funny after my Pea puffer eats a ton of bloodworms and I find a red nugget in the front of the tank
