Rescue puffer growth please

Post by sw10mm »

So a year ago my power went out and my tank flooded the basement wife got upset and I had to take down my tank and sell off my 6-7 inch fahaka, this past summer she has let me reset my tank and after a few modifications to my overflow I fixed the flooding problem I've been keeping frotosa in there but just found out the fahaka I sold to my lfs is still there he's about 8-9 inches and in a 15-20 gallon tank alone was thinking of going to get him back but what are the chances he stunted and won't grow anymore? He would go in my 220 I just don't want to get him back and have him live 6 months anyone rescue a fahaka and get some good growth and life after such a long time of such a small tank?

I bet he continues growing in your large tank. You'd take him anyway, right?

I'm not really worried about the growth just the health if it stays 8 inchs I'll just have a small fahaka I am looking at the site and see lots of success stories so I'm heading there tomorrow with permission from the son he was upset we had to sell him so I see nothing stoping me

Growth generally slows at sexual maturity, but for fish the growth will never stop. Adequate care, temp, food, and room will accelerate this slow growth.
No human being, however great, or powerful, was ever so free as a fish.

Reason I'm asking so much about growth is I read with stunted fish it's only the outside that get stunted and the origins keep growing as normal and that's why it kills the fish or lessons the life
