Quick question will guppies and dp get on I thought not but the guy in my local pet store said shouldn't be a problem ???????

it' seems, by & large, that LFS employees are forbidden to say "no" to such inquiries

+1 to eieo's comment - that covers the subject perfectly! They want and need to make sales, that is what they are there to do.
