woodlouse/rollpolly
I know this may get some disaproval from the experts here but..... has anyone ever bred/used the terrestrial crustration s (aka roly poly, pill bug ) as a source of food for puffers? Assuming not contaminated with fererlizer or pesticides? My children love finding them and we studied them for a home school project. They are a type of isopod, and since similar aquatic crustaceans are used as for food, I thought it was worth asking about.

I don't see any problem with that, great protein source!

Also they still have gills and just now placed one in Derp's tank and its crawling around the bottom like it does in the dirt. That's until he's spotted by Derp..... satisfaction of the crunch a lot like the snails sound.

Yup, I feed Piggy woodlice, he enjoys the hunt, and I feel less guilt that I did with poor Leonard the crab

Re: woodlouse/rollpolly
i put a piece of coral that had been sitting on the basement floor for awhile in my Jack Dempsey Tank and 20 of them came pouring out of the rock. My JD had a field day. They did very well underwater. Don't know anything about breeding them though.
