Awesome collection! You are one of the very lucky few to have a T. Duboisi! Actually, I'm not sure there is any other active member that has one.

I don't have Allan Duboisi anymore. Sold him to someone who works with me. :(
Probably the most entertaining little puffer ever! He was expensive. £95 for a 2 1/2 inch puffer is a little scary. Got another shipment from congo comming soon so fingures crossed for by-catches.

As I know the person who now owns him I will see if I can get photos.

My SAP is "Lundi" and my DP is "Mercredi". They are named after the day of the week they were purchased. The days are in French since they eat snails, and escargot is French

I just got my new puffer a Valentinni's sharpnose puffer (saddle) and do not know how to tell a female from a male.

I want to give it a good name. I'm thinking of JAWS. I did not have him out the bag for even 1 minute, when he starting attacking the ghost shrimp. He was chasing them all over the tank.

My very first puffer was Gemstone who decided to eat all the fins off of Peanut. Both Gemstone and Peanut were GSPs.

What does everyone else think? Let me know. This is one awesome puffer.

I'm also thinking of some names from Horror Movies like Cujo, Kruger, and King. I'm a big fan of horror movies.

I did name my one puppy "Teal'c" after the one character on Star Gate SG-1.

Interesting but what does it mean and where are you getting that name?

I'm leaning more towards JAWS. He eats almost anything including snails.

I had a rough time getting Gemstone to eat her snails.

It is definitely different and I would need to know how to pronounce it.

Apologies, I took you for an SG1 fan. Apophis was the big mean bad guy from the start of the series. Pronounced 'ah-paw-fis'. There were other big meanies on that show too, like Anubis. That sounds too much like a plant though :P

Thanks for the reminder. That is cool. That is the big mean guy that made a bride out of Daniel Jackson's wife Sharia.

I just did not recognize the spelling.

I've settled for JAWS. It stuck in my mind.

Hey ho! New here and bought my first puffer -- a little witty baby GSP. ATM he's in a "slightly brackish" (adding salt very very slowly because I don't want this tank to switch to SW) 10g and will be moving to a 30g once I clear some space :)

I don't name all my fish -- I'd go mad if I did -- but I do name a few and my daughter names them all

Anyhow, I liked one name for the GSP and she liked another, so we gave him two names:

Percival Peabody Puffer

She calls him Percy and I call him Peabody :)

Don't have a sig yet -- just pretend I have a LOT of rainbowfish and tanks and that'll do for now ;)

I'm with you on that one PP! I LURVE rainbows. At work, occasioally I have 'Rainbow Masters' come in. They regale me with tales of the mythical 'Millenium Rainbowfish' before dissapearing in a ball of light every colour of the rainbow. God I love those Rainbow Masters!

But I prefer the Puffer Masters! They give me an excuse to order all the puffers that I want... "yes boss, we NEED to get those puffers, I have atleast 100 customers who want them." (white lies don't count, do they?)

ANYWAY, photos of T. Duboisi are floating around!

Hey, thanks EG and PP!

I have a tank of Millenium Rainbows (pseudoincisus) :

And Flame (parva), Crimson Spotted (duboulayi), Boesemani and . . . I have the even more obscure and rare Allomogurnda nesolepis, better known as the GOO OBO GUDGEON!

Yep :) One of my females is gravid, too, but I'm going to skip this round of eggs and wait. They are such cute and friendly little guys. First ones to the front of the tank for chow.

I like your bows, PP :) Love the size of those clowns  They make the bows look tiny
