Who, the husband? Wish it was that easy. I have decided since I made so much effort in preparation for the Congo by setting up a new tank, I am leaving it there .... filter going, heater on .... and see how long it takes before he wonders why it's still running with nothing in it!

Obviously a puffer hasn't ended my marriage .... but it's sure given me some good reasons to evaluate things and perhaps implement some changes. Puffers make me happy ... he should know that, so I can only guess he doesn't care.

Sorry for moaning, I have been depressed since that poor little Congo arrived very dead yesterday. He was such a cute size too. And thing is, I could have had them send out another, but instead my husband asked me to get the refund so he could take me to get that Baileyii. Now I don't have either a Congo or Baileyii and the husband will benefit from the refund money going back into his account.

Anyone know a good divorce lawyer? (I am not legal to drive in the UK)

You should see the eyeroll every time I explain to Hubby about how I have to move 6 tanks out of state when we move...

I spent more time and energy on making sure our puffers and other fish went to good homes when we moved to Canada than I did on selling the house and getting removal people organised. Thge house was easy to sell...puffers needed the best home as I could find for them.
A kiss on the hand may be quite continental
But puffers are a girl`s best friend.

I got a little Baileyii this morning!

After spending the night in the dog house, the husband was jolted into reality and went and got me this little guy that he should have gotten 2 days ago! Please don't think I'm making a fuss just for a puffer, this was also about our anniversary, and other things I guess.

Anyway, this little guy is too cute, he's got so much hair already!!! My other Baileyii I had for at least 5 years before she died, she had very little hair. Now, I've heard some people say males are hairy and females are not, but didn't someone on here post that their very hairy Baileyii laid eggs?

Anyone know if there's any truth to the hair/male or no hair/female theory?

So I won't moan anymore about the husband whom I share a house with ~ my real family = my dogs and puffers :)

In the end, my previously empty tank now has a little hairy puff in it. He's not even 2 inches, but feisty, he tried biting me when I opened the bag and rolled it down!

Hurrah!

Piggy is very hairy too, rather frayed round the edges looking. And feisty <looks glumly at finger>

I am not sure yet, but have been giving it consideration.
One good thing, when I was feeding the others, I decided to see how keen he'd be to eating, as some puffers do like to sulk when they first arrive, so I dropped a small piece of mussel and he didn't hesitate! Right on it. And when I was doing bloodworm, I dropped in a small bit, he watched them float by and then caught on that they were food. He's been up and about since then, and looking as good as could be hoped for. He's got a beautiful yellow belly! :D

I will try to get some tomorrow when the light will be better. My camera isn't the best, no flash, but the tank is by a window so will have nice bright natural light tomorrow. He's been pretty active so hopefully getting a photo of him won't be too hard (I say now). Awfully cute when they are that size.

Thank you, but don't be too happy about the marriage, it needs major work, and one person can't fix something two people are involved in. But I am willing to try again ..... for the hundredth time if feels like.

But hey, I'm trying to be positive!

On a good note, my new puffer seems really happy!!
