My F8 and BBGs, "Movin' On Up"

Post by JRC3 »

I moved these guys into the 46g that used to be my peaceful community tank and picked up some new decor for them.

The decor is much deeper than the pics look. The the two biggest ornaments came from Petsmart and the rest I already had. The substrate is aragonite sand, crushed coral, and PFS...I can't wait until it darkens. I'm not totally in love with the crushed coral and may slowly phase it out with every other gravel vac. I'll see what it looks like and works as it ages.

It all seems like way too much room for a single F8 and I may decide to add another one later, though I'm afraid to. He does seem totally intrigued by all the new surroundings and he seems to be hunting more. Kinda like it has triggered something natural in him. I have 2 AC70s on the back so I think I'm set for filtration. I'd like to have a different background but I already had it installed and you can barely make it out anyway with all the decor. I'll probably replace the bright green plants and maybe add something sticking out of the lower stump that sits to the right as it has a fairly large opening in the top. IDK, we'll see.
There are many knowledgeable fish keepers on this forum willing to help and give great advice...The advice is free; What you choose to do with it gives it value.
