Thankful in November

Post by LilGreenPuffer »

I'm sure that a lot of the American members on here have seen the Facebook event "Thankful in November." (http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=123333391105469) Let's post what we're thankful for every day.

Today, I'm thankful for the immensely patient bank teller who spent half an hour helping me locate and fix all the mistakes in my checkbook register.
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

I'm thankful that we live close enough to a holistic veterinarian so my older kitty has a safer and more encompassing treatment plan for his chronic respiratory infections.

I am thankful for my wonderful, little dog, Kaisa. She is my little child, and means so much to me. She is 100 % the right dog for me, and I love her very much. I tell her this every day. :smitten:

I'm going to double-dip. I am THANKFUL that my parents' cat has been found at the county shelter! Some kind person found him in their raccoon trap and took him in, and the shelter, which had Pippin's lost poster, contacted my mom. He's coming home tomorrow morning!

I am thankful that I live in a free country where I can write whatever I want.

I am so very grateful for the friend who agreed at the last minute to give me and Astrid a ride to the vet - she is having a skin problem.
