Re: What did you do with your tank today
That's great!
I went to my LFS to find out what eats stringy green algae & another macro algae taking over my DT. Seems i need a tang. They ordered one for me.

Re: What did you do with your tank today
The LFS mentioned either a yellow or convict. I think the yellows are kind of common. My tank is really stocked to the brim but they said I could return the tang after I fatten him up.

Contemplated exactly how strong my wrought iron aquarium stand is. Tweaked settings on skimmer and powerhead. Will probably prep some saltwater so I can do a partial water change here in a few days.

I have not yet, but I have to tackle getting the last half-dozen emersed Crinums out of the veggie filter in the big circulating range. I should wait for spring, so i can move them outside, but they and that tank are in the way.

Added phosphate remover to my algae-ridden reef tank. It tested at 3ppm today!

Re: What did you do with your tank today
I added a good sized piece of LR to my reef tank....lots of cover for the eels now, fed the crabs and corals. The LR is covered in mushrooms, zoas, and polyps....beautiful. Posted a video in the vid section.
Did WC's yesterday. All tanks looking perfect...all fish fat and happy!!! I love this hobby.

OUR CAT, ASHTON, HELPED ME CHANGE THE WATER AND REDECORATE. I'VE NOTICED MY GSP'S ARE A LOT LIKE CATS.

Re: What did you do with your tank today
I had to re-stack all of my live and lava rocks after my sleeper goby dug a HUGE tunnel under the bottom rock, causing an avalanche. He also dug up this plastic plant I use in the corner of the tank and half of a terra cotta flower pot that I used to make a cave out of. Basically, my goby trashed my tank. I also got to do all of this work with a rather annoyed puffer following me around (she doesn't like my hands in her tank, you understand) trying to bite me the whole time. What fun!
