Re: How did you find The Puffer Forum?
It was over a year ago that I found this site but as I remember, I Googled the word puffer fish and to my amazement and joy I found this site. I thought that I was one of a few with such a fascination for puffers but now I know that I'm not alone!

I know! Actually, after I posted that I checked my profile and realized that I've been a member since 2006!!! I don't know how I let that much time go by before I decided to post! I really thought I only signed up last year... Sheesh!

Re: How did you find The Puffer Forum?
I was actually around --under a different username-- when TPF started (the original TPF). I sort of dropped out of the online side of the hobby when I ended up with a 45-50 hour/week job. Now I'm back getting my toes a bit wet.
tank: saltwater 55g, one 5" GSP named Random (mka Puff)

Re: How did you find The Puffer Forum?
I Googled GSPs, and the article Pufferpunk wrote about the "little sweetheart" who ate half her tank popped up on a couple of listings, including one for this site.
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

Re: How did you find The Puffer Forum?
Like alot of the other people on here, found it through google. I was getting kindof tired of the other forum I was usually on. Decided Id check out some other forums and since Im wanting to get some puffers I decided to check out puffer forums. This one was the first I came across and it seemed really friendly and loaded with smart people lol.

- My Puffers: I don't own a puffer currently.
But I do have several tanks housing various type of
cichlids and year of experience of cichlid care/breeding. - Location: Brisbane, Australia
Re: How did you find The Puffer Forum?
I was looking for some information on other forum and some other sites (some are specific only to fish like cichlid and discus)
Some have non-active members/posting, probably because of my timeline (being in Australia)
Anyway, my friend in Malaysia who is an expert in fish/aquarium is also knowledgeable about puffers but he rarely comes online to answer my questions so he gave me link to this site.
From this site, I have found monsterfishkeeper.com too. Which was a extremely good site, lots of my favourite monsterfish .

I think I found it through someone else's post in another forum. Although no other forum is as informative as this one, there is so much valuable information.

Re: How did you find The Puffer Forum?
I think I was watching Mbu's on Youtube and I did some searches for puffers in google and came across this site
I didn't register straight away, although I read a lot of the stuff on here
I've never been a member of a forum before I joined this website so it's great to have found such a good one
ps I've just realised I've only been a member for about 3 weeks! It really does seem like I've been a part of this for ages?!
That means I've only had my Puffers for about 3 weeks too!
That's just weird
