Hi, I'm also in England, nice to have you here. Ceylons are lovely puffers. Good luck with your new guy (or gal)!

Re: Anyone Know of Congo or Baileyii For Sale in UK
I had a Baileyii before. In fact, I had her (I believe it was a her) until we moved about 2 years ago, she died the day after the move and I was really heart broken as I'd had her for quite a while. I haven't seen any for sale, so obviously I would be overjoyed to get another. Problem is, I have jus...

Re: Anyone Know of Congo or Baileyii For Sale in UK
I live just south of Louth, in Lincolnshire, and my LFS stocks Baileyii, they sourced PIggy for me, and now stock them. They definitely had one in stock the other day. It's Lincs Aquatics, 01507 451000. Cheers for that, we're going to look at their other location tomorrow, called them and they've g...

It's going to be a surprise, as I am ordering from a fish store in the south of England, they are shipping to me. Although I am hoping for something towards the red, I will be very happy with any colour as long as he/she is healthy.

Re: Hello Again
Nope, no reason, just life, I rehomed most of my puffers years ago, but still have some too.
Anyway, thanks for the kind welcome!
I am just about to get a baby Congo puffer on Thursday of this week coming, so I am very excited.

Re: Rainbow Land Crabs (Cardisoma armatum)
They are found alongside rivers in Africa, mainly Nigeria, and so may be brackish. I kept mine in freshwater, but remember, they should have more land than water anyway, as they are "land crabs". Not all crabs are brackish. For instance, I have Matano crabs and Vampire crabs, which are bot...

Re: Rainbow Land Crabs (Cardisoma armatum)
They actually are African, hence the tropical conditions needed. They really need land more than water, so they can make tunnels, as that's what they would do in the wild.

Re: advice on palembang puffer
I'm sure you will be an excellent Palembang Momma to this puffer. Get some photos uploaded, so we can have a look. I love the patterns on their sides and those big eyes. Believe it or not, the LFS that had my baby one actually had it listed as a "lineatus", just another case of an LFS bein...

Re: advice on palembang puffer
Mine moves around a little bit, from one resting spot to another usually. And a 20-gallon tank is about a 75-litre tank, but that's me going from American gallons to litres, but close enough I think.

Re: advice on palembang puffer
Hey Lesley, because a Palembang can reach a size of about 8" I keep mine in at least a 20-gallon tank. In fact, both of mine are in tanks of that size and that seems to be fine. Mine rarely do much more than move from one end of the tank to the other, and like to hang out in their PVC tubes. Ev...

Re: How do you feed your Congo (miurus)?
When I put a small red-claw crab in with my Congo, he went for the legs, but I think it annoyed him more than he was actually hungry for it. Keep in mind that piscivore puffers don't "need" crunchy foods for their teeth as other puffers do, that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with fee...
