Hello..... again
Hello! It's been years since I've had puffers or been on here (rehomed my puffers when I got a job on a boat). I'm now land-based again and looking to get some pea puffers in the next year. Slowly going to work out the best place for them where the tank won't get too much sunlight so may have to wai...

Puffer Art
Not sure if you've seen this or not, amazing what animals can/will do... purposeful and beautiful and, best of all, made by puffers!

Re: Red Sea Diving - but I am back now :D
Hi, I was in Egypt (liveaboard out of Hurghada) when everything was a bit loopy in Feb - in fact, he resigned while I was in the airport waiting to get my flight back. Mind you, I was on a boat the whole time instead of being land based. Although Hurghada was a ghost town on our last night and they ...

Re: Monotrete Palembangensis/ dragon puffer thoughts
Hmmm, no idea. I do know that sometimes I'll come back home from work and know it's had a very active day because things in the tank have been moved around. I've tried several different ways of cleaning the tank but all of them seem to aggravate it so I try to be as gentle and quiet and unobtrusive ...

Re: Monotrete Palembangensis/ dragon puffer thoughts
Mine is always hiding in one of two spots in its tank. The only time it moves around is when it has its weekly freak-out after I do a water change where it races around the tank and does its best to soak me by splashing me with water to show its displeasure. Other than that, I see bits of it though ...

Re: OMG!!! Zebra Pleco-$450!!!
I've seen baby ones for sale in the UK at £250 each. Apparently the reason the price has gone up so much is because it is illegal to export them from Brazil and they have started to crack down on it instead of letting it slide so the ones for sale should be captive bred. Beautiful fish, I'd love to ...

Re: Shark Attack!
People I know live in Sharm and have confirmed that so far two sharks, one Oceanic White Tip and one Mako, have been caught and killed. Autopsies will be performed to see if they are the fish involved in the incidents. Tourism is the main source of income in the area so authorities will do whatever ...

Ferocious Puffer -
Its common name comes from its unprovoked attacks on people. It has been known to bite off the toes of swimmers.
