Re: Friendly Puffer for 40B

Lurkers do just that--hide & lurk--often buried up to their eyeballs in the sand. You'd be better off with a GSP or one of the Monotrete puffers. Check out the Pufferpedia here, under the Learn tab.

Re: Vitamins

At the bottom of every FD plankton container I find plankton dust.
Any of these are good: http://www.jehmco.com/html/freeze_dried.html

Re: Vitamins

I not only dose my live worms with vitamins, I also feed them crushed plankton. Doesn't kill them.

Re: 130 litre tank

Personally, I'd go for a 55g, 4 foot tank (200-210 liters) for these species.

Re: Fighting or frisky?

I have tried 3x to keep a male with 2 females in my heavily planted 10g but both times I only wound up with 1 puffer.

Re: 130 litre tank

You could keep a single GSP in there. Check for other FW possibilities in our Pufferpedia, under the Learn tab above.

Re: GSP seems off

You're right, Nearite snail's shell are way too hard to crunch. Give him pond or ramshorn.
Great feeding info here: library/category/feeding/
