Re: Franklin My Sailfin
Beautiful Sailfin! You need to get some clear shots. I love tangs too, all fish have their own beauty. To bad it cost a fortune to have & takes a huge amount of space & work to keep them healthy.

Re: Dwarf Puffer is thin after feeding
It's a 16L tank, I haven't seen him poop yet but then again, it's probably more to do with me not noticing. What's IP's? IP's is internal parasite's. Very common in wild caught puffers. I would try to feed him a good variety of food. If that doesn't help he may have ip's. Check out the information ...

Re: Dwarf Puffer is thin after feeding
Welcome. Nice photos. That helps. You really need to know and test your tank's water parameters. I feel it's common for a multiple puffer tank for one puff not to get the same amount of food at feeding. Try to use a net to keep the others away while you feed him enough to make his belly look full fo...

Re: Breeding Shrimp?
Is breeding ghost shrimp the same? Cherry shrimp here are $2 each whereas ghost shrimp are 30-60c. Can you breed cherry/ghost shrimp in the same tank as snails or should they be divided? From what I know ghost shrimp would be about the same as cherry shrimp. No they don't have to be divided. Suppos...

Re: Marlowe the SAP singleton
...................I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!! Once Marlowe reached top speed and started to shake .... he would look at me out of the corner of his eye. He was saying "Heeeeyyyy.....lookit how fast I'm going!", "Are you watching me?". Now I know puffers are expressive, but this st...

Re: Feeder Snail Help.
Those mucus like blobs with the specs are probably eggs. They can takes weeks to hatch. Pond snails seem to breed much slower then ram snails and they are small full grown. They grow very slow. It can take 3 or 4 months to have a fair amount of them. They probably will survive you putting them back i...

Re: Dropsy and Euthanize
Thank you bigfatfish for the support. I added a cup of vodkA to ensure he was euthanized. Another site said you add close to 16 drops of clove oil to overdose for 1.5g. I want to be sure this dirty deed is done. The same site said to add 2oz of vodka per 8 oz after the clove oil. I had to estimate. ...

Re: Best way to sterilise a Tank
Vinegar is good. You can also use OxyClean, the laundry detergent powder. Try to avoid bleach. It's hard to rinse off completely, and even the tiniest traces can be extremely dangerous. Where do you get this information from?? I am curious. I have used bleach, 1 part bleach to 6 parts water on hosp...

Re: Dropsy and Euthanize
He is not doing any better :( . I don't want to make him suffer for weeks on end. This is the part of fish keeping I hate. I couldn't find clove oil at wal mart. walgreens has it in a dental pack for 6.99. We need an article that tells exactly how to euthanize with clove oil or finquel. I found only...

Re: Dropsy and Euthanize
I saw that article you posted on euthanizing a while back. I doubt that way is the least painful way to go. Pretty sick to think about doing that to a pet.
