Re: Hmmm...

Hi Jen. Thank you ever so much. I'll tell the manager. Life is well, busy as hell. Only three tanks active for the moment. Pufferless after my GSP Izabella passed away some time back. Considering converting two tanks back into Puffer-tanks this year. Will see... ;-) And you? Life is good? (And how's...

Hmmm...

Hi there. Went into a more than decently stocked shop in my hometown the other day, and had a chat with the manager. Know him fairly well, have bought several puffers from him over the years. He is a dedicated aquarist and diver, and I see no reason to not trust him. Told me he had been diving inlan...

Izabella has died...

Hi all.

Sad to say that my GSP Izabella has passed on.
She was in my care for 12+ years.
R.I.P.

Re: Starting a Brackish Aquarium!

Woland, he lives!!! :D How ya doing, buddy? Fine thank you PP. Joined Aquarists Anonymous some years back 8) , and managed to get down from "23 Puffers in 16 tanks equals 925 Gallons of water", to a mere "2 Puffers in 2 tanks equals 125 Gallons of water. Painful t'was... But in many ...

Re: Starting a Brackish Aquarium!

In full marine it may have hit it's full size? Hmm I guess this one is still open for debate? I would guess that "she" is around 3,5" (exclusive tail). As to marine/brackish/fresh; well, to many variables and uncertainties involved IMO. She is vibrant in her colors, and seems to enjo...

Re: What's considered Brackish water?

Brackish water goes from 1.001 to 1.018 (approx.) The crossing-point beetween high-end brackish an marine conditions seems to be a matter of dispute. I'd expand this a little. For our practical purposes, brackish falls into two ranges, the "low end" where you'd keep plants as well as esse...

Re: Puffers according to Woland!

I hope your fahaka doesn't tear up that nice moss on there. It looks great! Thanks Jen. No, I do not think my sweet Babe will go for the moss. The plants on the other hand... Fahakas tend to vigorously "move" offending plants. I will do some plant shopping when I can afford it. Am aiming ...

Re: Puffers according to Woland!

Nice tanks!! I was wondering for how long you have Toshiro and on what type of water do you keep him, temperature salinity ect. I have had Toshiro for a bit over 3 months. He is in a temporary 40 liter tank. Salinity 1.005. Doesn't have a heater in the tank. Guess the temp is around 20-22 celsius. ...

Re: Puffers according to Woland!

Hey Woland, good to see you! Can't wait to see pictures of the fish either, and man, your kids have got to be getting big now too! Hi Amy. Good to see you to. Yeah, kids are growing at an alarming rate. My youngest turned 5 a bit over a month ago, my eldest turned 18 in February and is moving in wi...

Re: Mr Green Hates his roomies!

Just be glad its fins at the moment, if they move onto the body thats when it turns serious. I saw it as my duty to put the mollies out of their obvious misery... I also received a PM from Jennie (the owner of Mr. Green) in where she asked me to convey that her GSP; Mr. Green, died earlier today. R...

Re: Mr Green Hates his roomies!

I'm starting to think that GSPs turn into little wimps when any fish they share the tank with shows a little spunk and stands up to them. Sure...
