great advice haha simple when ive thought about it and i will do exactly that!!! just a quick question, will it harm anything if they not got IPs am gunna research it now but experience beats evrything!! cheers

SAPS hows best to fatten them up
I have 4 saps now parametres are all well etc... all feeding well on frozen bloodworm and frozen shelled prawns and snails etc... just wondering as ive seen something on here about internal parasites!! how can i tell these, how do i prevent etc... they all eat fine, 1 is quite fatter than the others...

i used hardy small fish when i cycled my tank, no1s mentioned usin fish yet, ie goldfish

so evry1 seems to have the same prob as me !!! i see some1 has a 3inch sap so we can safely say they get that size, but the net says allsorts!!!! cheers for your replys, its helped a little

evrything i read online kinda clashes, i cant find out exactly how big they are when they are fully grown!!!

good point about the back syphoning, but think my return pipe is too much put the water for the back flow to happen, if that makes sense. i must try it TODAY!!!!! just in case, cheers haha

the return pipe is breaking the waters surface, so there is bubbles, and i kinda like them,

funny enough, my tank has the return pipe blasting the front glass so theres bubbles as weell as current so my tank sounds ideal for my saps haha, and evrytime i look they are there!!! i also have an internal filter at back of tank providing a different flow so they have options

i do see wher your coming from about the shark, but it doesnt seem to bother anything, if anything the puffers keep it in check haha. As they do with the tinfoils!!! they are feeding well and keep the other fish at bay til they finished!!! but as i said, the tinfoils and silver shark are going. am o...

yes my tank is 4 x 2 x 2 feet, then have my sump which is 3 foot x 18in x 18 in roughly
How many saps u reckon i could keep as a group without overdoing it, keeping in mind im keeping my eel and black shark, unless they change behaviour and become aggressive etc...

hahaha thanks for the help guys, all my fish are currently on aquarist classifieds, looking for new homes haha I am keeping my pictus cats though, are they ok??? and my black shark, its only 3 inch at the mo and i understand how big they can get etc... but it doesnt bother nothing, eats greens more ...

WWOOOWWW, feel like am being told off!!! haha for evry1s info, there are plenty of snails in the tank, plenty in my sump for future, and will be fedd snails throughout there lives. the tank has plenty of fake plants rockery and plenty nooks and crannys for the puffers. They also have strong currents...
