Re: Linus, my beautiful fahaka, rest in peace
Oh no Tina, I am so sorry to hear about Linus. :( He did have a wonderful life with you, and sometimes, even with people, the right diet and environment will only go so far if their is a genetic defect or a rare disease. Whatever it was, hopefully Leo will not be affected and continue to thrive. Han...

Re: My Newest Friend!
The younger ones seem to have longer 'horns', and the largest specimens I have seen hardly have any or have none at all. I'm not sure if this is true across the board, but from what I have seen so far it holds up. How on earth are you going to let that adorable baby go...? Oh my goodness these guys ...

Re: Burrfish Troubles
Is it a Burrfish or a Porcupine Puffer? I noticed you asked, "Or would his spines be sticking out" leading me to believe it's a porc of some sort as Burrfish's spines always point out rather than laying flat like Porcs. If it is a C. shoepfi then as Spoot pointed out the low SG wouldn't be...

That's certainly needed on that site. There are always threads popping up about Mbus and Fahakas and it would be beneficial to both the hobbyists and the fish if you could give some advice. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Oh good! I hope it works out as well as it has with Mojo. Good idea giving the clown some extra time to figure out some hiding spots.

Re: IDIOT!
People like that are so frustrating, but there's really nothing you can do to make them take your advice. All you can do is warn them and when the inevitable happens they'll know you were right. I love how he threw in owning his irrelevant website, as if it made his arguments just as credible?

Re: Mbu in a 5ft tank= problems Clooney is sick
It's a relief to hear he's doing better... After being gone for a while and then seeing a hospital post with Clooney's name in it I was freaked out! This fish has to be the most popular puffer on the forum! It's sad you lost your two Clown Loaches that were with you so long, but thankfully it looks ...

Re: So today I went to my LFS...
My Lined Burrfish has had a white spot like that ever since I got him, and it persisted after treating him for ich when I got him (note: I did not treat him just because of the suspicious fin spot; he had an obvious case of marine ich) and with antibiotics after the ich treatments, so I'm pretty sur...

Re: Dog Face and Porcupine in same large tank
Wow, your tank sounds awesome. I just saw 3 baby (2") porcs with a 5" Dogface at a LFS and they were really cute together so it's neat to hear about your set up. We'd love to see some pics of them!

Re: Paris updates (burrfish)
Paris is looking really healthy! My guy, now named Mojo, is a wee bit plumper in the belly but Paris looks so much better than she did- great job with her! Mojo maintains a flat belly and when accidentally overfed he gets a belly bulge for about 5 mins, then it looks flat again as his body fills out...

Re: F8. SERIOUS HELP!
If he was housed with a betta and DP at one point that leads me to believe he is being kept in freshwater, am I correct? Figure Eights have been known to develop skin problems when not kept in brackish water of about 1.005 SG. Was the tank he was moved into cycled, and were the new fish he was moved...

Re: I.D. needed
A good fish guy grew his past the 9" mark, he just stated as so  That would be a monster! I suppose it is possible that was just a fish that grew longer than average just as some people are taller, but that's still 1" over the average length of a Ceylon. Any chance you know what co...

I am so, so sad to read that your Puffy did not make it. Please do come back to us if and when you decide to try a puffer again; we will be more than happy to assist you if that day comes.

Good luck to you! If it looks like it's going to be too hard do get some help lest you break the tank or even worse injure yourself.
