Hi,
First, glad to hear your puffer seems to be better. Second, how did you find the Jungle Fizz Tabs for parasites? I can't seem to find them anywhere anymore. None of the area Walmarts carry them now by me and I thought I saw online somewhere that they were discontinued.

Re: soaking food in levamisole hcl
Thanks for all the input! I will continue to feed a couple times a day, and see how he does. I will soak food in levamisole and see if that makes a difference. For those who feed live earth worms, do you buy them or just use ones from your yard? Are ones from the yard safe? I've not seen stringy poo...

Re: soaking food in levamisole hcl
below is a post from this forum by pufferpunk that discusses how levamisole can be successfully used by treating the water. it is actually listed just above my thread. I have read other articles that say the drug is absorbed and will be effective when fish aren't eating. My puffer IS eating well. I ...

soaking food in levamisole hcl
Hi all. I've read a lot of information on using levamisole hcl to treat internal parasites. It says it is effective when the aquarium water is treated. But I also read that medications for parasites are best used when soaked with food. So, can anyone tell me if I can soak bloodworms in levamisole hc...

Re: internal parasites from snails
The tank with fish seems healthy and I've had no illnesses or fish deaths, but I realize that there could be parasites not visible to the eye. So perhaps something's going on in that tank that I can't see. I'm assuming the GSP's illness was connected to the snails fed from the aquarium because prior...

internal parasites from snails
I had a small GSP, under 2inches, in a 30 gallon aquarium. He was in brackish water, at about 1.009. Water parameters were fine. 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, nitrates about 20 or under. I had him for a couple years with no problems. Over the past few weeks, the snails I fed him were small ramshorn snails f...

GSP afraid of tank decoration!
I just replaced a large rock in my aquarium with one of those big mangrove root decorations. I thought my GSP would like swimming in and out of the roots, and that it would give him more swimming space. However, my GSP is quite leery of this new decoration. He gets timid around it and is avoiding sw...

Re: GSP has become shy
Can I ask why bubbles are a nuisance in BW/SW? Curious as I didn't know that. I have a bubble wand in the back of my GSP's tank, and he seems to hover over it as though he likes it. But, if they are not a good idea I will certainly remove it. Is it only because of the salt creep mentioned? Thanks!
