Re: Coral compatable with puffer.

realy? because when I got my live rock, there were about 20 soft wavy corals that were all eaten within 24 hours! I am not sure why Nugget ate them all because I noticed that the area around his mouth had gone a slightly paler colour and almost seemed slightly inflamed, I can only assume this was du...

live rock curing time

I am loking at buying some more live rock for my aquarium and considered getting dried live rock because I will be able to get more due to it being cheaper, I have heard tell of it being possible to 'seed' dried live rock with my current live rock and I wondered how long it would take for the rock t...

food.

I've got a juvenile stars and stripes puffer, and I often give him either prawn or squid, as well as weekly clams and mysis shrimp (sometimes live) I was wondering what over food puffers can eat that are available in your home, for example maybe some fruit and vegetables that would be more interesti...

would the skimmer be able to hang off the side, because my tank is backed against a wall? also how much would a good second hand one be?

Re: Stars and stripes juvenile

Be sure to keep doing daily water changes, until you reach the parameters above & they stay there. Test your water often. Instead of buying live rock, you can add dry rock to your system for much cheaper & it will become seeded by the existing rock. As the puffer grows, the newly seeded roc...

Re: faulty protein skimmer?

You got some of the best shops in England near you. Have you been to wildwoods? Realy? thats great! as a matter of fact yes, it turns out I have been to one of their stores, however they only sold tropical there and many of the fish seemed to have bacteria and many were simply dead in there tanks. ...

Re: Stars and stripes juvenile

You should still post all your levels as they could be causing a problem. Also, you need to make that tank way more decorative and interesting. Puffer fish are very intelligent and get bored easily. Why don't you have more liverock? I did test the ammonia and nitrate and admitedly it was too high. ...
