Whenever I go, I stay as long as I can!Terrance wrote:I was there around 4:30 :p on that day.
I never stay for long. Maybe 5 minutes and then I leave. I only look at the puffers and saltwater livestock when I go to any LFS.

Re: Big Dwarf Puffer
I saw a huge dwarf puffer today. It was at least 1" big. All the other DPs in the tank was ~0.75inch big. I thought it was a red eyed species, but it actually did not have red eyes. Tail and belly was also yellow. The patterns on the back was also similar to a regular DP and I saw wrinkles beh...

Re: Black or white sand with DP's?
If the tank is heavily planted, as it should be, the substrate color will not matter as much. But black substrates do darken the tank and the fish do adapt their coloring to reduce contrast and thus be less obvious to predators. Do you think that since there will be a light, it will have a negative...

I would personally get some rummy nose tetras! I love those fish! (I think that Harlequin Rasboras look pretty ugly too)
EDIT: Your tank looks incredible!

Re: Dwarf Puffer help
Ok, correct/guide me if you read anything wrong. I am going to get one Aqua Clear 10 filter (100 gph), and run it for about a month. Do I REALLY need a API Freshwater Master Test Kit? Is it necessary? Remember, I still need to cycle the tank. I am going to use 1 zebra danio. The ammonia method seems...

Re: Dwarf Puffer help
Oh goodness. So maybe I should just keep the 1 Aqueon 10? Should I just sell the Aqueon, and buy a AquaClear 20? I don't have large amounts of money, so a really good canister filter or something like that is not an option

Re: Dwarf Puffer help
It's a pretty lame filter. Not much biological filtration. That's why I was looking at aquaclear filter.bertie 83 wrote:I am not familiar with the current filter, 100gph sounds good, just curious ng why add another? Is the current one not much cop?
