valentini puffer
So it has been a very long time since I've been on here. After losing my 37 gallon tank due to a defect in the tank and I lose my Figure 8's I gave up for a bit. I took a step back from puffers and went with a full marine coral tank. Currently running a 40 breeder with multiple corals, skunk shrimp,...

Guy almost kills i'mself and family from Saltwater Tank
I am NOT trying to advertise but I think this would be worth reading on what happened to someone in the local reef hobby. Was VERY interesting and may benefit new members. Link below

Need some Valentini puffer info
I've come across these guys and would like to get as much info on them as possible, I know looking in google for "Valentini puffer" is probably useless so I wanted to ask the experts on them and keeping them, tank size, tank mates (if possible), just general info please and thank you!

So everything i've read about them has been on the plus side, couple other forums say good things. Anyone here dealt with them (good/bad).

Re: UGH ICH
As far as i can tell i caught it early and approx 6 hours after does the clown is acting like his normal self minus the white spots on his left side. I hate how many articles there are on ICH yet none of them seem to be an actual cure. Out of all the forums i'm on I will always come here first regar...

Re: Mantis Shrimp
Oh I agree, this one was still on the smaller side but I thought to be kinda large. I didn't realize just how big they can get, or how agressive they are. Almost make puffers look like kittens with how mean they are.

Re: 20L up and running very well!
Clownfish are really happy and eating like pigs, they devour the food in no time at all. Hermit crabs been doing a good job keeping the tank clean. Also found a nice hitchhiker, a tiny starfish and he likes to hang out by the circulation pump mainly, seems to be doing well. All images added to my ph...

Re: 20L up and running very well!
Dump the filter media in the AC 500 & just use it as a supply for good flow. The LR should be enough filtration. You could add a Backpac on there, I have one on my 15g frag tank. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com, for RODI. Still ok to use it with filter floss though right? And thanks for the link ...

Re: 20L up and running very well!
For the lighting i'm using a Solarmax 30 quad 24 watt, approx 30lbs of live rock, aquaclear 30 with fliter floss and carbon media, Aqueon 500 and a aquaclear powerhead for circulation. As of right now no protein skimmer, along with reading on this forum and Nano-reef.com i've seen that a lot of peop...
