Re: breeding snails for food - JP?? Anyone?
If you want to buy ramshorn snails I got mine off ebay from johns pond plants out of florida. Really good guy and good snails. Bought 25 and within a week the whole tank was covered in eggs.

I think you would be good with a dogface, they are so cute. Just scream hug me lol. Thank you. Tank is dirty though....... Had back surgery and have hard time cleaning.

Re: Puffer Shelter - Hobby?
Typically markup on fish is 4x (at least it is around here). Buying it for 50% still results in 100% profit for the store. When I was importing it was sometimes much more. Porcupine puffers sometimes came for about 1$ prior to import and around 4-5$ past flight and airport. In my opinion a TRUE res...

Re: Puffer Shelter - Hobby?
It's ok a simple "I wasn't calling you a thief and I appologize will work." Things must work different in Canada.

Re: Made a save at local petco
All three fish were covered with ich. All three now are spot free and looking excellent. Finally started getting the S&S to not look so skinny. He is a very finnecky eater. Will get some more pics shortly of him now versus the first pic I posted. First pic was 2 or 3 days into treatment and look...

I do appologize and maybe next time rather than making comments about things you are not sure. For instance making comments that refer to the other member as a thief more or less. Ask a question. They go a long ways. Don't want to make enemies but don't take kindly to being called a thief.

Re: Puffer Shelter - Hobby?
Thank you for the response flutter. I was trying to figure out how when I learned my values in the military and live life very strongly according to them it is dishonest. I not only save the fish but educate the aquarium manager and employees. They all know me by first and last name. They have also ...

Re: Puffer Shelter - Hobby?
The dogface's beak was so evergrown he could not close his mouth and also had ich. Not like I'm buying a product that is 100% so why pay 100%. If they were healthy fish I would certainly pay 100%. When I say I saved the fish I mean they were in certain death if not intervened.

Re: Puffer Shelter - Hobby?
How is it dishonest when you're gambling that the fish will even live and definately would not have lived in its home at the time. The S&S I got had lockjaw, ich and was extremely skinny. I paid for a dead fish essentially. Enlighten me Obi-wan.

Re: Puffer Shelter - Hobby?
I have been working on this first with my dogface then with my recently aquired S&S. One thing I learned is at petco for instance. You go in throw a fit, tell them they are doing it wrong. Then buy it for half price therefore they are not making a profit. Then save the fish. I got my 5 inch dogf...
