Re: new baby fahaka.

Yeah, he was in there for the better part of a day. He seems to be just fine now. In a year it will be funny to think he could have ever fit in the filter tube.

Re: new baby fahaka.

Actually, after pulling my whole tank apart and still not finding him. I decided to check the canister filter. And even though I had a screen on it he managed to get in there. My only guess is he was chasing some food or something. He would of had to work at getting in there. But he's ok. I now have...

Re: new baby fahaka.

Most of those foods listed are bigger than the puffer. I do have some blood worms. How often should a fahaka under an inch be fed?

new baby fahaka.

I just got my fahaka puffer in. I was expecting a 2-3 incher, and he's less that an inch. He's in a fully cycled 120 gal. I'm not new to puffers, but I never had one this tiny. Needless to say I was prepared to feed a slightly larger fahaka. What should this little guy be eating? And how often? Thanks

How can you just say that the fish "will not grow any longer"?

crayfish?

I was just wondering, are crayfish crunchy enough to "trim" a puffers teeth?

Re: water flow for my gsp?

Are talking about a bubbler? I just thought he might like some current to swim against.

water flow for my gsp?

Just wondering if my 2.5 inch gsp would like to have a power head for some water current. He's in a light brackish 30 gal tank. Just thought it might be fun for him. But could it be to much?

Re: GSP ate too much?

The tank is fully cycled. They have been treated for ips. One is long and one is short. And the short one always seems fatter. Hes just not normally so fat for so long without me feeding him. The snails were so small its hard to say what they were. But there was enough of them to fatten up my puffers.

Re: help me identify this Cichlid.

The original owner told me he was all yellow when he got the fish. So far just some yellow appearing on his bottom half.
