Hello and welcome to the Puffer Forum Chatroom! While we are thrilled that you stopped by, and sure hope there are other puffer-crazy members currently in chat to feed your obsession with healthy, happy puffers, we do want to bring a few things to your attention.
The Rules that apply to the Forum also apply to the Chat Rooms. Be aware that a log is kept at all times, and any complaints of harassment, foul language or inappropriate topics can be verified and will not be tolerated by the staff.
Advice given in the chat room is NOT always going to be correct! Remember this is a live chat and anyone can stop by and claim to be an expert, or they may just be a well-meaning member trying to help you out but remembering the wrong info, and there may not be anyone else here to correct them. This could result in you accidentally killing your fish by following well meaning, but incorrect advice.
For emergency situations, often your best bet is to post in the appropriate forum, then use the search features of the forum and check out our Library and Pufferpedia, our species encyclopedia. By the time you get done doing a search or two, someone will likely have given you some solid advice in your original thread, or helped you find the info you need.
